.... The early years of the Northern Celts played a lot more traditional music but as the band progressed through the years the music changed and adapted to the times and the likes of the public however they still like to play the old classics of folk music.

The first gig they had was in Charles the first in Kings Cross where I can remember doing my homework to while listening to my dad's band playing traditional music. It was so successful that it became a regular event, sometimes attracting twenty to thirty players, including a group from Chile with their pan pipes

The Stags Head was another favourite where people would start to dance to the music in the cosy Irish pub in Camden. They also played in the Parrot House in Archway, and many more. The Northern Celts haven't always been called the Northern Celts, they were once called Ceol which is Gaelic, meaning music.

The Northern Celts have also played numerous weddings, christenings and other such events, and regularly play at community festivals.
